Guru Purnima Ma Satsang
Guru Purnima Ma Satsang
Guru Purnima is one of the most sacred observances in the Hindu tradition. Celebrated on the full moon of the month of Ashadha, it has been honored for thousands of years as the day dedicated to the Guru—the spiritual teacher who dispels the darkness of ignorance and lovingly guides us toward the direct realization of Truth.
Guru Purnima is a day of gratitude, devotion, and renewal—a time to reflect on the grace of the Guru, deepen our spiritual practice, and offer our hearts in loving remembrance.
For our Sangha, this sacred day is lovingly dedicated to Shri Anandamayi Ma, our beloved Guru, whose boundless compassion, divine wisdom, and ever-present grace continue to awaken hearts around the world. Together we gather in prayer, chanting, meditation, and celebration to offer our love and gratitude at Her holy feet, honoring the living presence of the Guru within and without.
For this amazing celebration we will have Prajna, Ted Saraswati and Ramani with us, as well as some wonderful musicians. There will be a pada puja with rose petals as well as the Aarti and prasad.

The Living Wisdom Series- The Bhagavad Gita
Taught by Saraswati Barbara Haney
Shri Anandamayi Ma Ashram will offer a weekly Bhagavad Gita study class online. This class is open to everyone — whether encountering the Gita for the first time or returning to it after years of study.
Participants are encouraged to obtain an edition that includes the original Sanskrit, both Devanagari and transliteration, and English translation to support steady study. There are versions online and in book form; we suggest Winthrop Sargeant’s book The Bhagavad Gita, as it has Sanskrit transliteration, Devanagari, and English translation. Additional translations and traditional commentaries — including those of Swami Sivananda and Madhusudhana Saraswati — will also be referenced to provide depth and context.
Each session will include reading, reflection, optional chanting, and discussion. The Gita will be approached in a spirit of reverence and devotion — as sacred song — with patience, humility, and a willingness to listen inwardly as well as outwardly.
No prior experience with Sanskrit or Hindu philosophy is required. The class will continue on an open-ended basis. All are welcome.

ANANDAMAYI MA RETREAT
ANANDAMAYI MA RETREAT
"You Are Loved by the Divine Mother"
November 6–8, 2026
A chance for our online Sangha Community to meet in person again!
I will be giving an in-person retreat at Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville in Virginia. It will be on the life and practical teachings of Shri Anandamayi Ma, my Guru. We will study Ma's life and guidance and how she reflected in her own life everything she taught. There will be lots of kirtan and singing and great joy.
I am also delighted that Saraswati Barbara Haney, a fellow member of the Board of Directors of Shri Anandamayi Ma Ashram & Temple (SAMAT), will be joining us for this special gathering. Together we look forward to sharing a weekend of devotion, inspiration, fellowship, and the living wisdom of Anandamayi Ma.
Please join us:
Ma's Blessings,
Acharya Mangalananda

English Matri Satsang w/ Swamiji
Many of us have been gathering on Zoom, with Swami Gurusharan, for Ma Satsang straight from India. There are almost no words to express how inspiring these satsangs have been. Swamiji open with chanting and then gives a dharma talk based on Ma’s teachings. He leaves time for questions and answers at the end of our hour together. We want you to join us!
The best way to stay informed is to join the WhatsApp group. Any changes or updates will be sent directly there from the peopel supporting this satsang from India. No weekly reminders will be emailed from SAMAT at this time.
